Le Minh Hung elected Prime Minister for 2026–2031 term

At the session, 495 out of 495 lawmakers voted in favour of the resolution approving his appointment. The resolution affirms that Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, and a deputy to the 16th NA, will serve as Prime Minister for the 2026-2031 term.

PM urges completion of Quang Trung Campaign by January 15

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a dispatch calling on ministries, sectors and localities to make every effort to complete the “Quang Trung Campaign” before January 15, thereby helping people stabilise their lives and livelihoods ahead of the 14th National Party Congress and restore production and business activities before Tet (the Lunar New Year – the Year of the Horse).

Prime Minister inspects storm-hit areas in Ninh Binh, directs urgent recovery efforts

In the wake of Typhoon Bualoi, the 10th to hit the East Sea/South China Sea this year, and accompanying tornadoes that have caused heavy human and material losses across several northern and north-central localities, including Ninh Binh province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 30 evening visited the province’s coastal communes – the hardest-hit areas – to inspect and direct recovery efforts.

PM attends ground-breaking ceremony for two major projects in Hai Phong city

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ground-breaking ceremony for Tan Trao Industrial Park (IP) infrastructure development project (first phase) and Hai Phong liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fueled thermal power plant in the northern port city of Hai Phong on September 26, two flagship projects celebrating the first municipal Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.
