After one year of implementation, Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private sector development (Resolution 68) has strongly promoted efforts to reform institutions with the spirit of placing businesses at the centre, fostering development, and unlocking resources, particularly from the private sector.

The 14th National Party Congress has continued to affirm the requirement for rapid and sustainable national development based on innovation, digital transformation, and the strong mobilisation of all social resources. In this context, the private economy is identified as an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy.

According to a recent report compiling assessments from the business community by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Politburo’s Resolution No.68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025, on the development of the private sector, is regarded as one of the Party’s key strategic policy decisions in 2025.

As Viet Nam enters a new stage of development, strengthening the private economic sector is an important task for the business community in general and for young entrepreneurs in particular.

Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo (dated May 4, 2025) reaffirms the pivotal role of the private sector in the country’s development process. In Ca Mau, the private economy has consistently received strong support from both businesses and the public.

Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW (dated May 4, 2025) of the Politburo on private sector development has been enthusiastically welcomed by the business community. Numerous agricultural businesses in the Mekong Delta are proactively pushing ahead, accelerating and integrating into the global economy.

The Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee held a scientific seminar titled "Unlocking Resources – Driving the Breakthrough Development of the Capital’s Private Sector” was held on June 20.

With a spirit of reform and innovation, Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025, issued by the Politburo on the development of the private economy not only provides fresh inspiration for the business community but also sets out concrete requirements for improving the investment environment and promoting sustainable national economic development.

The private economic sector, with nearly 1 million enterprises and over 5 million business households, is the sector that contributes up to 50% of the country’s GDP, more than 30% of the total budget revenue and employs 82% of the total workforce. Supporting and promoting the development of the private economic sector is a major orientation, as affirmed in Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW.

Economic experts have assessed that, with the contents expressed in Resolution No.68-NQ/TW of the Politburo, for the first time in history, the private economy is given the responsibility of being “the most important driving force of the economy”.
