With the goal of achieving average annual GRDP growth of 9-11% in the six socio-economic regions, Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW requires rapid development to go hand in hand with ensuring ecological limits, staying within the environment’s carrying capacity, and improving people’s quality of life. Resilience has therefore become an important factor in regional competitiveness.

The Politburo has recently issued Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated August 28, 2026, on regional development and the organisation of the national development space in the new period. The Resolution sets out key targets for the six socio-economic regions by 2030, including average annual GRDP growth, GRDP per capita, and the shares of different sectors in GRDP.
