Viet Nam is emerging as an important link in the global semiconductor value chain, particularly in chip packaging and testing, as the country continues to lay key foundations for developing its semiconductor industry, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has stated.

The groundbreaking of Viet Nam’s first chip manufacturing plant, along with its gradual mastery of key production stages, marks an important shift for the semiconductor industry — from participating in the supply chain to building endogenous capacity.

Viet Nam is steadily asserting its position in the semiconductor sector with a series of strategic moves, from attracting investment and developing human resources to building technological infrastructure, all aimed at mastering the entire value chain.

The semiconductor industry is the foundation of technological innovation and economic growth, playing an important role in the development of many high-tech industries. Human resource management will be one of the key driving forces to help Viet Nam become a strategic link in the global semiconductor value chain.
