Party General Secretary To Lam met with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on February 5 in Vientiane during his state visit to Laos, reaffirming the two countries’ resolve to further deepen their great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion.

Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone has expressed his deep appreciation and special recognition of the Vietnamese Government’s strong determination, under the close leadership and direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, in helping translate the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Viet Nam and Laos into practical and effective outcomes.

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse Naly Sisoulith arrived in Ha Noi on January 26 morning, beginning a two-day state visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam To Lam and his spouse.

Chairman of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilisation Trinh Van Quyet has proposed that in the new period, his commission and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) should step up the exchange of experience in mass mobilisation and intensify joint communications on the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos.
