Legal action launched against anti-State suspect involved in Le Trung Khoa case
The Security Agency for Investigation under the Ministry of Public Security has launched a probe into and temporarily detained Pham Quang Thien for the charge of “making, storing, distributing, and spreading information, documents, or items aimed at sabotaging the State of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam” under Article 117 of the Penal Code.
Procuracy exceeds NA goals, recovers 2.83 billion USD in corruption assets
During the 2021–2026 tenure, the People’s Procuracy sector coordinated the handling of 18,980 cases involving 41,142 defendants in economic and corruption crimes, including many under the supervision and direction of the Party Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Practices, recovering over 74.769 trillion VND (2.83 billion USD) in illicit assets.
