Viet Nam and Angola celebrated the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations (November 12, 1975–2025) with a ceremony held in Luanda on August 7.

State President Luong Cuong and his spouse, along with a high-level delegation of Viet Nam, met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Angola on the evening of August 7 (local time), part of his state visit to the African country.

State President Luong Cuong's state visit to the Republic of Angola from August 6 – 9 is expected to further foster bilateral cooperation and open up a new stage of development in Viet Nam – Angola relations.
