On October 29, 5% broken rice from Viet Nam was offered at 470–480 USD per tonne, up around 30 USD per tonne from the previous week. The increase was mainly driven by limited domestic supplies, while the autumn-winter harvest is not expected to begin until late November, with output forecast at only about half that of the summer-autumn crop.
