Prolonged heavy rainfall has triggered flash floods and severe landslides in Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau, cutting off many roads and affecting local people's lives. This has also posed a major challenge to the management and operation of the transmission grid managed by Northwest Power Transmission 2 (Power Transmission Company No. 1 – PTC1).
