A roundtable on April 10 reviewed key outcomes of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, shedding light on prospects for relations between Viet Nam and Russia.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit is seen as a catalyst for developing new and effective cooperation mechanisms to realise the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Russia.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang hosted a working session in Ha Noi on March 25 with Andrey Vadimovich Panteleev, Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region of Russia.

With the outcomes achieved and strong implementation efforts by both sides, the Viet Nam – Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is expected to grow further, contributing to socio-economic development in each country as well as to peace, friendship and cooperation in the region and the world.

Vietnamese Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang and Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Aleksandr Kurenkov agreed to step up cooperation in emergency response, firefighting and disaster rescue between the two sides during their talks in Ha Noi on March 5.

The Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace and Saint Petersburg State University of Russia on December 2 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation for the 2025–2030 period, marking a new step forward in cultural, educational and research collaboration between the two sides.

Viet Nam and Russia have agreed to develop a railway project linking the two countries via China and Mongolia to strengthen transport connectivity and expand regional economic cooperation.

The year 2025 holds great significance for both nations, as it marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Russia.
