The Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland has hosted a solemn ceremony in Bern to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025) of Vietnam.
With the joint efforts of the State, the overseas Vietnamese community and social organisations, the Day for Honouring Vietnamese Language in Vietnamese Communities Abroad has gradually become a cross-border bridge, where Vietnamese is not only a means of communication but also a cultural symbol, a memory, and a source of sentiment for millions of Vietnamese people around the world for the Fatherland.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has pledged to work closely with ministries, sectors, localities, and domestic organisations to develop more programmes aimed at implementing the “Day for Honouring Vietnamese Language in Vietnamese Communities Abroad” initiative, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang stated.
A training course for overseas Vietnamese language teachers opened in Ha Noi on August 14, attracting 80 teachers who returned from 15 countries and territories.
