The coconut tree in Viet Nam is known as a climate-resilient crop, but it faces many challenges in development. Strategy to restructure Viet Nam’s coconut industry towards an ecological, circular, and low-emission model is considered an optimal solution to build the “Green and safe Vietnamese coconut” brand.
In the past, when grapes were mentioned, many people immediately thought of the hot and sunny central region, but few expected that in the alluvial land of Vinh Long, many farmers are also growing vines heavy with fruit. These unique vineyards have attracted tourists to visit and taste grape products right in the garden, generating high economic efficiency.
Establishments, households, and enterprises with a focus on upgrading equipment, production technology, diversifying products, and strengthening trade promotion have opened a path for the sustainable development of craft villages in coastal areas of Vinh Long Province.
With the completion and operation of key national transport projects connecting regions and removing infrastructure bottlenecks, targeted investment attraction for the Dinh An Economic Zone could enable Vinh Long Province to become a hub for the maritime economy and clean energy in the Mekong Delta.
Vinh Long Province is implementing urgent measures to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. Local authorities are focusing on managing fishing vessels operating at sea, and promptly identifying and addressing shortcomings in the province’s IUU prevention efforts.
Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, together with a delegation from the Government, held a working session with leaders of Vinh Long, An Giang, Ca Mau and Dong Thap Provinces, on August 8 in Vinh Long Province.
In recent times, high-quality, low-emission rice cultivation models and seedless lemon farming for export to the European market in Vinh Long Province have contributed to building a green, clean, and environmentally friendly agricultural ecosystem, while also improving local livelihoods.
