The event featured three main activities, including the opening ceremony of Techfest VinhPhuc 2024, a scientific seminar on “Innovation and Business Connectivity”, and various supporting events such as startup consultancy, investment cooperation, and youth engagement in entrepreneurial ideas.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasised Vinh Phuc’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The province aims to enhance policies to attract resources for innovation, commercialise scientific research products, and promote cooperation in transferring and applying advanced technologies.
It also plans to establish mechanisms for resource mobilisation, effectively manage the provincial Science and Technology Support Fund, and focus on developing high-tech electronics clusters to make Vinh Phuc a national hub for electronic industries.
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh praised the event’s well-organised structure and efforts to engage diverse societal sectors. He encouraged leveraging local resources and fostering regional collaborations to maximise efficiency and promote sustainable development.
The event included 80 booths showcasing products from businesses, organisations, and individuals. During the opening, agreements were signed between the Vinh Phuc People’s Committee and Samsung Vietnam, as well as Toyota Vietnam, to support the development of local industries.
Techfest VinhPhuc 2024 demonstrates the province’s proactive approach to advancing innovation, digital transformation, and international collaboration in building a knowledge-based economy.
