The awards are jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
The winners were selected from 69 nominations, the majority of whom are young talents working at domestic and foreign tertiary education institutions and research institutes.
The awards were presented in various fields, including information technology, digital transformation and automation; medical and pharmaceutical technology; environmental technology and new materials technology.
Speaking at the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan underlined the importance of science and technology to rapid and sustainable development.
She added that the strong development of science and technology is the key for Vietnam to realise its ambitions to become a developed country with high income by 2045.
The Vice President asked the HCYU and MOST to continue making recommendations on attracting Vietnamese talents and facilitating outstanding students to bring their strengths into play.
