A meaningful milestone
The plant is located in Borovsk District, Kaluga Province, an area identified by the Russian Government as a key growth zone for the dairy sector in the coming decade, with a goal of producing one million tonnes of raw milk by 2030, a 40% increase over current levels. Phase one of TH’s project has a processing capacity of 500 tonnes per day, aiming to reach 1,000 tonnes per day by 2026. It is among the largest milk processing plants in the Russian Federation.

The deep-rooted historical bonds and special tradition of friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and the Russian Federation form a touching and faithful narrative, woven from decades of profound events. Despite global upheavals, the Viet Nam-Russia relationship continues to flow steadily like an unchanging underground stream, passed down through generations of politicians, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and citizens of both nations.
TH Group’s project in Russia cannot be separated from this context. History has provided a solid spiritual foundation, enabling the Vietnamese enterprise to be embraced not only with economic rationale but also with emotional resonance and mutual understanding.
Speaking at the Viet Nam-Russia Business Forum on the occasion, General Secretary To Lam emphasised that "At this juncture, renewal is a pressing need for Viet Nam-Russia relations, especially in business-to-business cooperation. I urge the business communities of both countries not to miss the opportunity, but to quickly seize and make full use of it to develop in a way that reflects the stature of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and the Russian Federation."
The inauguration of the TH plant in Kaluga, with the presence of the general secretary, stands as a vivid symbol of that spirit. It is also tangible evidence of the Party and State of Viet Nam’s sound policy of viewing the private sector as a crucial engine of the economy and a pioneering force in innovation and technological advancement as embodied in Resolution 68-NQ/TW, signed by General Secretary To Lam on behalf of the Politburo on May 4, 2025, regarding private sector development.

In her remarks, Thai Huong, founder and Chair of the Strategic Council of TH Group, shared emotionally that: "Vietnamese people will always remember the wholehearted support of Russia during the most brutal years of war. TH came to Russia during the embargo, followed by a pandemic and conflict, but with tireless perseverance and the heroic resolve that defines a heroic nation, we overcame all difficulties. Today’s inauguration of the TH fresh milk processing plant in Kaluga is the result of professionalism, dedication, methodical planning, and seriousness."
The project has been carried out with professionalism and profound humanism. Despite the embargo, the Covid-19 pandemic, a special military operation and many geopolitical challenges, the Russian Government’s support policies have remained aligned with the goal of building a self-reliant and modern agricultural sector, reaffirming the strategic nature and long-term vision of TH Group in the land of birch trees.

The message “Let’s make a pure Viet Nam-Russia milk glass” is more than a consumer slogan. It is a cultural symbol, evoking a shared human connection between the two countries.
TH also actively invests in education, healthcare, and community development in Kaluga. Local authorities have described it as “an investor not merely seeking profit, but one who helps shape a new land” — the clearest embodiment of an enterprise that creates value, not only in the economic sphere but also in morality and social responsibility.
