Vietnam failed to secure the AFF Cup 2022 crown after losing 0-1 to Thailand in the final second leg at Thammasat Stadium on January 16 night.

Both teams Vietnam and Thailand started the game slowly. Vietnam got the first shot with a long-range attempt by Nguyen Quang Hai , but it went wide.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to Thailand and attendance in the 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting there are expected to create a new impulse for the two countries’ enhanced strategic partnership. In the past 24 years, especially after the two countries established a strategic partnership, the Vietnam-Thailand relations have developed strongly across fields.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand coordinated with Berli Jucker Company (BJC) and Big C to organise the "Taste of Vietnam" programme within the Big C Bangkok supermarket system from September 15 to 28.
