Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc affirmed that the series of tourism activities during the Visit Vietnam Year – Dien Bien 2024, along with activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, has conveyed the message of Dien Bien’s friendly and hospitable people, majestic natural landscape, diverse culture, and unique ethnic identities.
He suggested that Dien Bien Province should focus on developing ecological tourism, historical-cultural tourism, and community tourism while always protecting the natural environment for sustainable tourism development.
Congratulating Thua Thien Hue Province — the host of Visit Vietnam Year 2025, under the theme: “Hue - Ancient Capital - New Opportunity” — Phoc expressed confidence that with its new status as a centrally-governed city, from 2025, Hue will fulfil its leading role in guiding tourism development cooperation activities and successfully organise the Visit Vietnam Year 2025.
For his part, Thua Thien Hue Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh said that Hue plans to organise activities and events in 2025 with a focus on four main programme groups: Spring Festival, Summer Festival, Autumn Festival, and Winter Festival.
The opening ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year 2025 will take place on March 25 and there will be nearly 160 national and provincial-level events throughout the year.
“We invite and warmly welcome delegates, people and tourists from across the country and international friends to come to Hue to immerse themselves in the many interesting and unique experiences,” said Binh.
