Tuyen Quang inaugurates Pa Then ethnic minority cultural house

A ceremony was held in Thuong Minh Village, Hong Quang Commune, the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang on December 23 to inaugurate the Pa Then ethnic minority cultural house.

The event was attended by Secretary of Party Central Committee and President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.

The Pa Then ethnic minority cultural house has been constructed since July by Vietnam Youth Union under the companionship of Sacombank and Lam Binh District People’s Committee with an investment of more than 3.5 billion VND. The house covers a total area of 3,200 square metres.

The project was designed for the Pa Then ethnic minority people to exchange and organise traditional festivals and activities. The antiques, artifacts and cultural heritages of Pa Then group are also preserved at the house.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien said the cultural house shows the deep affection of the young generation of Vietnam towards Tuyen Quang in general and ethnic minority people in particular.

He also stressed that the Party and State always pay attention and focus on preserving and promoting the good cultural identities of ethnic groups as well as consolidating and strengthening the national great unity bloc.

The VFF Central Committee President asked the Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front and people of Hong Quang Commune to uphold revolutionary tradition, promote solidarity, give support together, and actively contribute to building new-style rural areas.
