The article quoted a speech by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the national conference reviewing the Southeast Asian country’s culture, sports, and tourism sector, noting that Vietnam is expected to meet and exceed all the 15 key targets for the year, with economic growth surpassing 7%.

It emphasised that these economic indicators are not only expanding the scale of Vietnam's economy but also improving its per capita income.

The article highlighted Vietnam's stable political and social environment, bolstered defence and security capacities, and enhanced quality of life for its citizens in both material and spiritual aspects.

For tourism, El Popular shed light on the country's remarkable progress in 2024, saying Vietnam’s destinations welcomed 110 million domestic visitors and 17.5 million international tourists, marking a 38.9% increase compared to 2023.

The article underscored that 2025 holds particular significance for Vietnam as it marks several historic milestones. These include the conclusion of the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan, the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day, the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, and the 80th anniversary of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

El Popular also highlighted Vietnam’s re-organisation of its political system and all-level Party congresses in 2025, towards the 14th National Party Congress. These events signal the beginning of a new era - the era of the nation's rise.
