Uruguayan newspaper highlights Communist Party of Vietnam’s glorious history

The glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was highlighted in a message of congratulations that the Communist Party of Uruguay (PCU)’s Central Committee sent to General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong on the occasion of the CPV’s 94th founding anniversary (February 3, 1930 - 2024).

Posted on February 3 on El Popular, the organ of the PCU, the message affirmed that the history of the CPV, which was found by President Ho Chi Minh, has been associated with the Vietnamese people’s heroism, independence and happiness, while President Ho Chi Minh’s life, career and legacy of national liberation was a prime example for revolutionaries all over the world.

The PCU expressed its solidarity with, and said it will stand shoulder by shoulder with the CPV to develop socialism, and protect the revolutionary achievements in Vietnam.

Additionally, the message highlighted that the two Parties will promote close connection on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and noble history to jointly build a better world.

The same day, El Popular ran an article hailing Vietnam’s diplomatic achievements in 2023, especially its bamboo diplomacy.

It affirmed that Vietnam’s diplomacy carved out an array of outstanding achievements in 2023, helping popularise the country’s successes in the international arena.

Successful foreign trips of Vietnamese leaders not only helped consolidate the country’s open foreign policy that serves its process of national development and protection in the new era but also shaped up a diplomatic style imbued with cultural beauty, humility and sincerity, the article stressed.
