The project used the funding capital of nearly US$3.5 million from Half Foundation, a non-governmental organisation from the US, and the counterpart fund of nearly US$400,000 from Da Nang city.
The centre was built in an area of 3,800 square metres, aiming to help children of workers at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park in Lien Chieu district, particularly those living in difficult circumstances.
The centre also creates favourable conditions for preschool children to have access to advanced educational methods in the world; provide advice on caring for preschool children for their parents; and supports the training of preschool teachers and nanny in the city.
The centre applys flexible curriculum which helps children develop thinking skills, promote their capacity for team working, and stimulate curiosity and observation of children through a friendly and open educational environment.
During the 2017-2018 academic year, the centre receives 250 children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years.
