Viet Nam Airlines flights affected by Typhoon Wipha

Due to the impact of Typhoon Wipha (storm No. 3) in Hong Kong (China), Viet Nam Airlines Group — including Viet Nam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) — will adjust the operation plan of some flights to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

Specifically, Vietnam Airlines will cancel the following flights on July 21: VN1188, VN7188, VN7189, VN7056, and VN7057 between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong; and VN1856 and VN1857 between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao.

On the same day, Pacific Airlines will reschedule flights BL6440 and BL6441 between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong for earlier departures to ensure takeoff and landing at Cat Bi Airport before 12:00. It will also cancel flights BL6520 and BL6521 on this route on July 21.

On July 22, all flights of the Viet Nam Airlines Group operating at Cat Bi Airport will depart after 12:00. Additionally, many domestic and international flights on July 21 and 22 of the Viet Nam Airlines Group will be affected in chain due to the storm.

Viet Nam Airlines Group apologises for the inconvenience caused by these weather-related schedule changes and asks for passengers’ understanding. Flight times may continue to be adjusted depending on the storm’s developments. The airline will provide updates via media channels and passenger contact details listed in booking records.

The Viet Nam Airlines Group also advises that passengers fasten their seat belts throughout the flight, particularly in adverse weather conditions. Keeping seat belts fastened, even when the seatbelt sign is off, is an important measure to minimise risks from unexpected turbulence.
