The fair, co-organised by the University of O'Higgins, the ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS), attracted the participation of the resident embassies of five ASEAN member states in Chile, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

With the aim to promote cultural exchange and understanding between ASEAN member countries and Chile, the event featured cultural performances, food stalls, and information booths about tourism and other aspects of ASEAN countries.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Chile Nguyen Viet Cuong emphasised that the fair provided an opportunity for ASEAN countries to enhance cultural exchanges and educational cooperation with Chilean schools, especially the University of O'Higgins.

He emphasised the importance of promoting educational cooperation between Viet Nam and Chile, and highlighted the potential for cooperation between the University of O'Higgins and leading universities in Viet Nam.

The diplomat expressed his hope that leaders of the University of O'Higgins would visit Viet Nam to explore cooperation opportunities and attend international academic conferences in the near future.
