Held every two years, Eurosatory is one of the world’s largest defence exhibitions, attracting major defence manufacturers from Europe, the Americas, and many other countries. The event serves as a platform for partners to explore cooperation opportunities, learn about emerging technologies and scientific advances, and examine trends in military equipment development.

This year’s exhibition brought together more than 300 official delegations from nearly 100 countries and almost 2,000 defence businesses from over 60 countries.

Viet Nam’s participation reaffirms its policy of proactive international integration and defence diplomacy, while helping to expand defence cooperation, access advanced scientific and technological achievements, and support the development of the revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Viet Nam People’s Army.

The event also provides an opportunity for the Ministry of National Defence to introduce Viet Nam’s defence industry to international partners and share expertise in preparation for the third Viet Nam International Defence Expo 2026, scheduled for December this year.

During the exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang and the delegation visited national defence industry exhibition pavilions and the booths of leading French companies, including Airbus and UNAC, to learn about new development trends in military equipment, advanced defence technology, and applications for modern warfare, while promoting defence industry cooperation between Viet Nam and other countries based on the existing needs and capabilities of each side.

Expressing appreciation for the information shared by corporate leaders, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang proposed specific measures to strengthen cooperation between Viet Nam and major French defence corporations, including Airbus and UNAC. He also encouraged these companies to explore partnerships with Vietnamese defence industry enterprises.

The Deputy Minister invited the companies to participate in and showcase their products at the Viet Nam International Defence Expo 2026, which will be held in Ha Noi this December.

Representatives of the companies expressed their desire to expand cooperation with Vietnamese defence enterprises in strategic and high-potential sectors.

Nguyen Truong Thang and the high-level delegation visited the exhibition booth of Gremsy, a Vietnamese enterprise participating in this year’s event on the same day. The visit demonstrated support for a Vietnamese enterprise that is steadily establishing its position in the international market and conveyed a message about the Vietnamese aspiration to master science and technology.

He stressed that the presence of a Vietnamese enterprise at one of the world’s leading defence exhibitions reflects its innovative capacity and ability to integrate more deeply into global value chains, contributing to the development of a modern, self-reliant, and internationally integrated defence industry.

In addition to exploring advanced defence technologies, the Vietnamese delegation actively promoted the Viet Nam International Defence Expo 2026. Representatives of the content, operations-security, protocol, and communications subcommittees met with representatives of Eurosatory organisers and international defence businesses to share expertise in event organisation, management, and promotion.

Invitations to attend the Viet Nam International Defence Expo 2026 were also presented to partners and businesses on this occasion, helping to promote the image of a proactively integrating Viet Nam, ready to connect and expand cooperation in the defence industry, working towards a large-scale, professional, and internationally-oriented exhibition in Ha Noi.
