Taking place from September 3–5, Viet Nam International Sourcing incorporates a range of activities, including the export forum “Enhancing the adaptability and resilience of Vietnamese enterprises amid global economic fluctuations” and specialised seminars on international markets and global supply chains.
The event also includes the Viet Nam International Sourcing Expo, a direct B2B Matching Programme, and field survey activities coordinated with local Departments of Industry and Trade to take international purchasing delegations to visit factories and production facilities. These activities aim to assess supply capacity and promote opportunities for signing trade contracts.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, emphasised that global trade is transitioning into a new phase, with many unpredictable fluctuations. Rising protectionism, increasingly complex trade barriers, and strategic competition among major economies continue to reshape investment and trade flows.
Global supply chains are no longer being reorganised only according to cost and efficiency criteria, but are increasingly premised upon new requirements for safety, resilience, transparency, and sustainable development.
In this context, Viet Nam remains a reliable destination for global supply chains. With a network of 17 free trade agreements signed and implemented, a stable investment environment, continuously improving production capacity, and a strategic geo-economic position at the centre of Southeast Asia, Viet Nam continues to be a paramount choice in the supply diversification strategies of international corporations and buyers.
According to Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the event continues to affirm its position as a reputable forum for dialogue, connection, and trade promotion, bringing together state management agencies, trade promotion organisations, business associations, distribution groups, international importers, and the domestic business community.
Through the event, management agencies have the opportunity to listen to and comprehend businesses’ difficulties and obstacles in order to improve mechanisms and policies. At the same time, it creates opportunities for enterprises to connect with partners, expand markets, and participate more deeply in global supply chains.
Viet Nam International Sourcing 2026 draws more than 580 international business delegations from 60 countries and territories, with 3,000 selectively arranged B2B meetings and 13,000 direct free-networking connections at booths within the exhibition.
Notably, the event continues to register the active contributions of Viet Nam’s system of trade offices and trade office branches overseas in proactively connecting with, mobilising, and organising potential purchasing delegations from across continents to attend the event in Viet Nam.
