He made the remark at the 2025 FIATA World Congress, the largest annual event of the global logistics industry, held in Ha Noi.
The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) is a non-governmental organisation representing freight forwarding companies from about 150 countries and territories. The 2025 congress, held in Viet Nam’s capital city from October 6-10, features a series of in-depth discussions on key issues in logistics and transport, attracting over 1,039 delegates from more than 100 countries.
In his address, PM Chinh said FIATA’s decision to select Viet Nam as the host of this year’s congress reflects the international community’s strong trust in the country’s role, potential, and aspirations for growth in the sector. It is also an opportunity for Viet Nam to showcase to global partners a country that is peaceful, stable, innovative, dynamic, friendly, and hospitable.
He highlighted that with its strategic location along major international maritime and air routes, a 3,200-kilometre coastline, and an extensive system of seaports, airports, and border gates, Viet Nam has all the conditions to become a key logistics hub in the region. The Southeast Asian nation regards logistics as one of its three main growth drivers and a foundation for connecting local production sectors, localities, and the country itself with the world.
To advance international cooperation towards a modern, green, and sustainable global logistics industry, the Government leader called on the FIATA community and global enterprises to join Viet Nam in promoting innovation and digital transformation; cooperation in developing green and sustainable logistics; collaboration in training high-quality human resources for the sector; connectivity of national, regional, and global transport routes and logistics centres; and multimodal transport integration for seamless logistics networks.
PM Chinh affirmed that Viet Nam will ensure the most favourable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises investing in local logistics, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, and maintain political stability, social order, and a transparent, safe investment environment. The Government will continue improving institutions, mechanisms, and policies to promote public-private partnerships and multilateral cooperation in the sector.
He stressed that the 2025 FIATA World Congress offers an important platform to foster closer cooperation and to jointly shape a greener, smarter, and more modern global logistics industry – one that contributes actively to global trade, investment, growth, and shared prosperity.
On the sidelines of the congress, a logistics exhibition with over 120 booths is being held, along with a logistics talent award ceremony, honouring innovative young professionals who are helping shape the future of the global industry.
