Vietnam earns three golds at Asian Bodybuilding Championships

Nhan Dan – Vietnam has bagged three gold, five silver and six bronze medals after the first two days of competition at the 2012 Asian Bodybuilding Championships, which opened in Guangzhou, China on September 22.

Bodybuilder Pham Van Mach bagged a gold medal in the men’s 55kg category, while his teammate Dinh Kim Loan won a gold in the women’s 49kg category on the first day.

Bodybuilder Ho Tan Phat also earned a gold medal in the classic bodybuilding contest for athletes 1.6 metres tall on September 23.

Nguyen Anh Thong, Dinh Huu Cong, and Truong Quoc Long each won a silver medal in their events, while Tran Thi Cam Tu won two for women’s body and fitness. Six bronzes went to Nguyen Hai Au, My Linh, Pham Duc Dai, Truong Quoc Long and Nguyen Ngoc Tien, who earned two medals in the 1.55 metre tall women’s body and fitness events.

The three-day Asian Bodybuilding Championships have drawn the participation of 200 bodybuilders from 25 countries and territories across Asia.
