During his carrier life, he worked many years aboard for the Time magazine. He was the first journalist who had reported on the first two American soldiers’ death in Vietnam, not suspecting that ten-thousands of American soldiers would follow.
Furthermore, he is a critic on the Vietnam war and his name used to be listed in the US President Richard M.Nixon’s “enemies list”.
Stanley Karnow had written many books about other countries, such as France, China and the Philippines.
