The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand held a ceremony on August 29 to observe the National Day, attracting the participation of Thai leaders, representatives of Thai ministries and sectors, and foreign diplomatic corps in Bangkok, as well as Overseas Vietnamese businesses and people in the host country.
While briefing the participants on Vietnam’s remarkable socio-economic development achievements over the past 79 years, Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Viet Hung stressed that the Vietnam – Thailand strategic partnership has been developing in an increasingly strong and trustworthy manner, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries and making positive contributions to a shared future of peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development within and beyond the region.
Speaking at a similar ceremony held in Tehran on August 29, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Luong Quoc Huy emphasised that over the past 79 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people have won many great victories and achievements in national construction, safeguarding and development.
He also underlined that Vietnam and Iran have maintained a good traditional friendship, which has been treasured and continuously nurtured by the leaders of the two countries.

Also on August 29, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Trinh Thi Tam hosted a ceremony and a banquet to mark the occasion.
In her remarks, Tam highlighted the significance of the National Day, appreciated the support and cooperation of partner countries and friends, including Sri Lanka, during the cause of national defence, construction, and development.
She also noted with pleasure positive developments in the bilateral ties, with regular meetings between the two countries’ leaders, stable two-way trade, and substantial potential for cooperation in tourism, culture, and education.
