Vietnam’s traditional food favoured by visitors to ASEAN fair

Dozens of traditional foods of Vietnam, such as 'nem' (spring rolls), 'banh mi' (Vietnamese sandwich), 'banh cuon' (steamed roll rice pancakes), 'bun tron' (rice vermicelli salad with meat), iced milk coffee and lemon tea, were introduced, making a good impression on Swedish people and visitors.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden participated in the ASEAN Trade-Food Fair 2024 in Stockholm on June 15.

The programme was organised by the ASEAN Committee in Stockholm (ACS), in collaboration with the embassies of six ASEAN countries in Sweden, including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

At the event, the Vietnamese Embassy and people in Sweden provided hundreds of products in several fields, including agricultural products, food, handicrafts, textiles, rattan and bamboo. All the products have been favoured by tourists.

The fair is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese Embassy to provide information about Vietnam's potential in the fields of science, technology, renewable energy, logistics, high-tech agriculture, seafood, tourism, and services, contributing to promoting Vietnamese brands and cultural identity to international friends.

Vietnam’s attendance at the event is expected to enhance the Vietnam – Sweden bilateral relationship and celebrate the 55th anniversary of their diplomatic ties (1969-2024).
