VN-Index closes in green

VN-Index increased 0.08% to 1,174.09 points on July 18 in its eighth consecutive session in the green.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) decreased by 9.93% to 16.76 trillion VND (709 million USD).

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 10 tickers gained.

Seventeen blue chips fell.

Foreign investors were net buyers to the tune of 406.37 billion VND, mainly buying VNM of dairy giant Vinamilk and VHM of property giant Vinhomes.

The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange stayed unchanged while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market rose by 0.24%.
