VN-Index exceeds 1,230-point mark

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose by 0.95% or 11.60 points on August 8 to end the final trading day of the week at 1,232.21, supported by gains in the stocks of Vingroup and commercial banks.

The total trading value on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) was estimated at 21.278 trillion VND (895.5 million USD), with 232 gainers and 226 losers.

In Hanoi, the HNX closed up 0.55% from the previous trading session to 245.25 points.

The UPCoM-Index of unlisted public companies rose by 0.2% to 93.28 points.
