VN-Index inches up

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 0.24% to 1220.43 points on August 2, still hovering around a 10-month peak.

The index closed 2.87 points higher after losing 5.34 points on August 1.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) fell by 27.10% to 19.16 trillion VND (807.06 million USD).

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 16 tickers gain.

The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, where mid and small caps list, was up 0.82% while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was up by 0.70%.
