VN-Index sheds 0.11% on tepid trading

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index closed down 0.11% to 1,039.63 points on April 27 as the market continued to show no clear direction, with only a few companies seeing their shares make solid gains.

On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchanges, the shares of 206 companies rose, while 175 recorded losses. The total trading volume was estimated at 8,689 billion VND, down 24% from the previous day.

Meanwhile in Hanoi, the HNX-Index rose by a slight 0.01% with a rise in 82 stocks and falls in 79. The total trading volume was 946.9 billion VND.

For the market of unlisted public companies, the UpCOM-Index closed the day 0.79% lower than the previous session.
