VTV Binh Dien Long An win title

Nhan Dan-VTV Binh Dien Long An won the title after trouncing VietsovPetro 3-1 in the final match, while Vietinbank finished third in the tournament with a 3-0 victory over Tien Nong Thanh Hoa at the first National Women’s Volleyball Strong Clubs Championship 2011 for the “Golden Heart” Cup In Dak Nong on August 30.

A VND 20 million prize was awarded to the top team, while those in second and third place received VND 15 million and 10 million, respectively. Tien Nong Thanh Hoa won the VND 5 million fair-play prize.

At the closing ceremony, VND 100 million (US$4,800), earned from selling tickets and donations, was granted to the ‘Golden Heart’ study encouragement fund. The fund also received VND 45 million (around US$2,100) donated by VTV Binh Dien Long An (VND 30 million) and VietsovPetro (VND 15 million).

Tien Nong Thanh Hoa co-operated with the Dak Nong provincial Commission for Mass Mobilisation to present four tons of NPK fertilizer, valued at VND 50 million, to 40 poor ethnic households in Nhan Co and Quang Tan communes.

The tournament, which began on August 24, attracted more than 100 players from six teams across the country, including Quang Ninh Coal, Tien Nong Thanh Hoa, Vietinbank, Phu Rieng Rubber, VTV Binh Dien Long An and VietsovPetro.
