The event was hosted by the Central Commission for Communication and Education, the Central Economic Commission, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc and the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper.

According to the opening report, the idea of rapid and sustainable development has become a consistent policy during the country’s development process for many decades.

The workshop was an opportunity to further discuss and evaluate key aspects to promote the Party’s leadership role in national economic development.

The organisers received nearly 50 papers from representatives of Party commissions, ministries, agencies, provinces and cities, experts and enterprises, while many opinions were also expressed directly at the workshop.

The opinions analysed Vietnam’s economic achievements, the Party’s view on rapid and sustainable economic development, measures to enhance the use of social resources for building a strong country, the role of state-owned enterprises in implementing the Party’s major orientations and perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy.

Many papers also pointed out the opportunities for Vietnam to utilise the advantages and overcome the challenges in its economic development process.

The workshop’s result will provide inputs for the Party Central Committee to introduce policies to enhance the management and use of the economy’s resources in the future.
