Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ delegation works in Cambodia

A delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister and Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, paid a working visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from December 26 to 27.

During the diplomatic visits and working meetings between Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and Santibindit Sok Phal, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia; Sea Kosal, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia; and Mayor of Phnom Penh Khuong Sreng, the two sides assessed the results of cooperation in the past time and discussed measures to promote cooperation in 2025.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang thanked the Royal Government and the Cambodian people for creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community to do business and live stably in Cambodia; and asked that Cambodian leaders continue to pay attention and cooperate to resolve a number of issues related to people of Vietnamese origin.

The leaders of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and Phnom Penh all affirmed the policy of continuing to create favourable conditions for foreigners, including people of Vietnamese origin, to live stably in the spirit of complying with Cambodian law.

Also on December 27, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang met with representatives of the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Association and the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia.
