Speaking at the event, Moroccan Ambassador to Viet Nam Jamale Chouaibi emphasised that over the past 26 years, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and driven by unwavering determination and resilience, Morocco has achieved achieved significant milestones in economic diversification, poverty eradication, renewable energy, and regional connectivity.
Morocco now stands out as a leader in Africa, not only in terms of its economic dynamism but also in its unwavering commitment to sustainable development and multilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Chouaibi also noted that Morocco is actively preparing to host major international sporting events, such as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup. These events are driving large-scale development plans across the country.
This year’s celebration also coincides with the 64th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Viet Nam. The Ambassador expressed his delight at the significant progress in bilateral relations, thanks to an increase in high-level visits between the two governments and parliaments. The visit of the President of the House of the Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami to Viet Nam on January 2025 and the recent visit to Morocco by the National Assembly Chairman of Viet Nam Tran Thanh man are a testimony of the genuine political will that exists from both sides to further deepen an widen the scope of their partnership.
The Moroccan Ambassador affirmed that as a leading investor in Africa, particularly in West Africa, Morocco welcomes the opportunity to facilitate Viet Nam’s engagement across the continent, especially in the fields of aquaculture and agriculture.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Government and people of Viet Nam, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang extended the warmest congratulations to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco on the 26th anniversary of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI.

Deputy Minister Hang affirmed that as a friend of Morocco, Viet Nam closely follows and supports Morocco’s progress towards the goals of “Vision 2030”, particularly in the areas of industrialisation, innovation, energy transition, and sustainable development.
She expressed his belief that with the strategic vision and unwavering spirit of reform, Morocco will continue to grow strongly and further affirm your role and position in the region and the world.
Agreeing with the Moroccan Ambassador’s assessment of the proud achievements in bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted that the two sides have maintained regular dialogue mechanisms, conducted exchanges of delegations at various levels, and fostered collaboration across multiple fields, including politics, economy, trade, education and training, as well as people-to-people exchanges. Morocco remains Viet Nam’s leading economic partner in North Africa.
Next year will mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang said that the two countries should identify new directions for traditional cooperation, expand their partnership on new potential areas and organise more people-to-people activities toward a new chapter in relationship that is more dynamic, more comprehensive and more forward-looking.
