Dong Nai City’s leaders hoped that the programme would provide an opportunity to continue hearing feedback and proposals from Korean enterprises investing, manufacturing, and doing business; promptly discuss and resolve difficulties and obstacles; and consolidate recommendations for submission to central authorities to improve mechanisms and policies in line with practical conditions.

The event also provided an opportunity for Dong Nai City to present its development orientations, potential, advantages, and cooperation and investment opportunities, as well as provide information on mechanisms, policies, and new regulations relating to investment, manufacturing, and business activities. These efforts aim to create favourable conditions for Korean enterprises to invest with confidence, expand production, improve operational efficiency, and maintain a long-term presence in Dong Nai.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs leader proposed that delegates focus their discussions on leveraging the advantages of transport connectivity infrastructure and promoting balanced and sustainable trade and investment; encouraging Korean enterprises to make long-term investments in high-tech industries, supporting industries, and clean energy; and building resilient and secure supply chains, particularly in semiconductors, energy, and strategic minerals, with Vietnamese enterprises playing an increasingly significant role.

He also called for stronger links among authorities, businesses, and training institutions to develop high-quality human resources, alongside expanded safe, legal, and effective labour cooperation.

Cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and cultural industries should also be expanded, while the digital economy, circular economy, tourism, and sustainable agriculture should be promoted to create new growth drivers for localities in the two countries.

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam would continue to work alongside and support Dong Nai City and localities nationwide in effectively implementing cooperation agreements signed at the conference.

Speaking at the programme, RoK Ambassador to Viet Nam Lee Miyon said this year’s Meet Korea was particularly significant as it was being held in Dong Nai, a locality that could be considered a typical example of Korean enterprises’ overseas investment activities.

On this occasion, memoranda of understanding on cooperation were signed between several Vietnamese localities and Korean partners.
