April 7, 1954: Commander of US Air Force in Pacific region requestes to meet with Nava to discuss bombing plan on Dien Bien Phu

On April 7, 1954, the trenches of Vietnamese soldiers' troops gradually inched around the Hong Cum Division. Pierre Langlais ordered his soldiers to fill the Vietnamese soldiers' trenches and levelled 20 meters of trenches.

France dispatched 11 C119 aircraft to airdrop food and ammunition to Dien Bien Phu.

On April 7, 1954, at base camp 208 (Huguette 2), 70 Thai soldiers of Company 12, Thai Soldier Battalion No.2, deserted. The French army had to send forces to base 208 to disarm a company of Thai soldiers, while the French officers commanding this company were sent to reinforce Company 1, Parachute Battalion No. 5.

In Paris, General Partridge, Commander of the US Air Force in the Pacific region, requested to meet with General Nava to specifically discuss the Vautour plan (Operation Vulture), massively bombing Dien Bien Phu.
