Art exchange activities mark Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties

The Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue Province coordinated with relevant units organised many cultural exchange activities in Hue City on March 30 as part of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.

At Thua Thien-Hue College of Education, the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue Province, and the Thua Thien-Hue College of Education collaborated with Tran Quang Chau, a lecturer at Ikebana, to organise an Ikebana-Japan flower arrangement exchange programme.

The young people of the two countries Vietnam and Japan gathered together to arrange flowers according to the art of Ikebana.

In addition, a cultural exchange programme in the series of activities in response to the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties (1973-2023) in Thua Thien Hue was held with the participation of the Hippo Family Club member.

Vice President of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue Province, Nguyen Thi Ly, said that Hippo Family Club members organised a homestay programme from March 25 to April 2, 2023 as well as other cultural exchange programmes of friendship between Vietnam and Japan in Hue.

After the exchange, the pupils and students in Hue had the opportunity to try wearing Yukata, receiving calligraphy, practice origami (paper folding), playing traditional games, and taking souvenir photos with friends from Japan.

The events are seen as meaningful and unforgettable exchange activities for students in Hue in particular and Vietnam in general.
