The exhibition offers an unusual artistic dialogue between three family members from different generations, each pursuing a distinct creative path.

“The central idea of the exhibition is the harmony between artistic souls within one family, transcending barriers of age, gender, and artistic form. It is simply an improvised symphony created by people who share a passion for beauty and a love of life,” poet Dinh Hoang Anh said.

The exhibition brings together the three artists’ different voices while highlighting their shared creative roots. Thai Tinh’s calligraphic paintings, accompanied by Dinh Hoang Anh’s poems, create a dialogue between lines, colours, and words. Set against an abstract artistic language, the works move beyond familiar forms, allowing colour, brushstrokes, and poetry to evoke layers of emotion, thought, and association.

In dialogue with these works are the abstract paintings of Nguyen Thien Nam, a Gen Z artist who is beginning his own creative journey through painting and music. His works bring a youthful, free-spirited, energetic perspective while giving emotion, intuition, and creative instinct room to speak.

The presence of Thien Nam alongside his parents, two artists of an older generation, not only creates a meeting between generations but also a space for an equal artistic dialogue in which each person is free to express their own voice.

The idea for “Art Family” grew out of a simple family conversation about the nature of art. During the discussion, Thien Nam shared a thought that became a guiding principle for the exhibition: art may be one of the purest forms of a child’s creative instinct, and sometimes artists create simply because the act itself brings them happiness.

From this starting point, the exhibition invites visitors to explore colour, lines, poetry, and music with an open mind, allowing each person to find joy, empathy, or a quiet moment of their own.

Visitors can explore Thai Tinh’s meditative paintings alongside Dinh Hoang Anh’s poetry and discover Thien Nam’s youthful and free-flowing works. The exhibition also features live painting, music, and other performances by the three family members.

Thai Tinh and Dinh Hoang Anh are familiar figures in Viet Nam’s art scene, known for their regular painting-and-poetry exhibitions and distinctive meditation music. Their son has grown up in a home filled with art and has inherited his parents’ artistic qualities.

Dinh Hoang Anh, who holds a PhD in mathematics, is also the author of several collections of prose, including “Letters guiding the heart”, “Letters embracing you”, and “Letters from the journey of life”, which explore her reflections on life, love, and family.

“Art Family” is therefore not only a dialogue among three members of one artistic family, but also a space for connecting with audiences, continuing the family’s creative tradition and affirming each individual artistic identity within their shared artistic journey.
