Art programme honours the country’s sea and islands

An art programme entitled ‘Getting strong and rich from the homeland’s sea and islands’ was staged in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa province on June 12.

The event was jointly held by the Voice of Vietnam, the Party Central Commission of Communication and Education, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Ministry of Defence, and the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.

The programme featured performances and reportages highlighting Vietnamese people’s love for the sea, the development of the Vietnamese marine economy, and the achievements of Vietnamese naval forces.

According to VOV Vice President Pham Manh Hung, the programme aims to affirm Vietnam’s aspiration to conquer the sea and maintain peace in the sea.

It also inspired patriotism and determination to safeguard the national sovereignty over seas and islands among Vietnamese people, he added.
