The book set its focus on issues related to comprehensively promoting the socialist-oriented renewal process; building and rectifying the Party; raising the effectiveness and efficiency of the whole political system, bringing into play the great solidarity of the whole nation; proactive and active international integration and cooperation; and realising the goal of building a society of wealthy people, strong country, democracy, justice and civilisation...
The Party chief’s articles and speeches expressed the guiding views, concerns and sense of responsibility of the top leader on important issues of the country and the Party, with profound theoretical and practical value.
Immediately after its release, the book series was well received by Party members and people from all walks of life and was introduced and exhibited at many domestic and international events.
At the 29th Havana International Book Fair, held in February 2020, representatives of the Commission for External Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Central Committee, the PCC’s Thought Commission and the Cuban Ministry of Culture proposed that Vietnam donate the copyright and translate it into Spanish, publishing and presenting this book set to our Cuban friends.
Implementing this proposal, from the end of 2020, having being agreed by the Party General Secretary and the Commission for Communication and Education of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, the Truth National Political Publishing House urgently organised the translation, proofreading, edition, and publishing of the book set in Spanish in December 2021.
The publication of the book set has both political and historical significance, and is to be considered one of the practical products in realising the project on developing relations between Vietnam and Latin American countries for the 2017-2021 period.
The book set is expected to help readers in Cuba in particular and in Latin America in general understand more about Vietnam's policy and direction of renewal and development, contributing to consolidating and tightening of the friendship relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, and Vietnam and the bloc of Latin American countries, which have logn been built and nurtured by generations of Party and State leaders from both sides.
