The information was released by Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee on October 15.
The delegation was received by Nguyen Ho Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee and Head of the province’s National Assembly Deputy delegation, together with Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
The visiting delegation comprised Ran DaGan, Chairman of Dagan Group, and Ha Duy Binh, Chairman of VsionGlobal Group.
The meeting opened up prospects for promoting cooperation to take Ca Mau’s agriculture to a new level of modernisation and sustainability.
At the meeting, representatives of Dagan Group spoke highly of Ca Mau’s potential and outstanding strengths in aquaculture, particularly commercial shrimp farming, as well as ecological agriculture.
Leveraging its extensive experience and world-leading technologies from Israel, Dagan Group expressed its desire to cooperate with the province and transfer high-tech solutions, including water recirculation systems, smart farming-environment management, automation, and production-process optimisation, to improve the productivity and quality of Ca Mau’s agricultural and aquatic products.
Provincial leaders also outlined Ca Mau’s potential, advantages, and development orientations. With three sides bordering the sea and a coastline of approximately 310km, Ca Mau enjoys considerable advantages in developing its marine economy, fisheries, renewable energy, and ecotourism. Aquaculture, seafood processing and exports, particularly shrimp, are among the province’s key strengths.
Ca Mau is focusing on developing transport infrastructure, expanding its development space and attracting investment into sectors with strong potential and competitive advantages. The province aims to develop high-tech agriculture, increase the value of its products and promote sustainable production.
At the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai welcomed Dagan Group’s particular interest in the province’s investment environment. He emphasised that Ca Mau had identified high-tech agriculture, ecological agriculture, and climate change adaptation as key pillars of its economic development in the new period.
He affirmed that Ca Mau remained open to investors and was committed to providing the most favourable conditions in terms of policies, administrative procedures, and technical infrastructure for international groups and businesses such as Dagan to implement effective investment projects.
He called on Dagan Group to work closely with relevant provincial departments and agencies to conduct detailed on-site surveys and soon translate the discussions into feasible cooperation projects that would generate high added value for Ca Mau’s agricultural sector.
For its part, Dagan Group plans to support Ca Mau in organising a delegation to Israel to study and learn from the country’s experience in high-tech agricultural development. The group will also assist in organising an investment promotion conference in Israel to connect the province’s development orientations with businesses in the country.
