General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping was born in 1953 in Fuping County, Shaanxi Province, China. He joined the Communist Party of China in January 1974. Comrade Xi Jinping was a graduate student in Marxist-Leninist theoretical and political studies at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tsinghua University. He also had a degree in a Doctor of Law and chemical engineering.

From 2010 to 2012, he was Vice President of the PRC, Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat, Vice chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the PRC and President of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.
