Commission for Internal Affairs works to improve regulations on anti-corruption

On January 4, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs held an online conference, to review the performance of the Internal Affairs sector of the Party in 2022 and deploy tasks for 2023.

The conference saw the presence of Politburo member and Permanent member of the PCC’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong and was chaired by Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC, and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac.

During the past year, the Internal Affairs sector of the Party has presided over and coordinated to advise the Politburo, to submit to the PCC for the promulgation of a Resolution on continuing to build and perfect the law-governed socialist State in Vietnam in the coming period, including a policy on establishing the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption, advising the Politburo on regulations of power control to prevent and combat corruption and negativity in the investigation, prosecution, adjudication, judgment and enforcement, among others.

The Internal Affairs sector has also actively advised the Party Committees at all levels, to lead and direct the work of detecting and handling corruption and negative cases, and to advise and direct better implementation of the coordination mechanism to detect and handle corruption and negativity, in the process of examination, inspection, audit, investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment enforcement.

Speaking at the conference, Politburo member and Permanent member of the PCC’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, highly appreciated and praised the achievements that the Internal Affairs sector has accomplished over the past year.

The Party's internal affairs sector should actively research and advise the Party on major policies and orientations on internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform, with a focus on advising and organising the effective implementation of Resolution 27 of the Central Committee, on building and perfecting the law-governed socialist State in Vietnam, in the new period and the Politburo’s regulations on power control, to prevent and combat corruption and negativity.
