Co-organised by the University of Da Nang - Campus in Kon Tum, the Vietnam University of Commerce, the Foreign Trade University, Quy Nhon University and Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Indonesia), the conference is a forum for academic exchange and knowledge sharing from domestic and international scholars' studies, on commerce and distribution issues, in the context of international integration and the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0).
The development of Industry 4.0, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, has drastically changed people's consumption trends, leading to drastic changes in the way trading and distribution systems operate.
This has put many Vietnamese businesses in a difficult situation, requiring businesses to adapt to the new context and effectively respond to difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The purpose of the conference was to clarify the scientific basis for commercial and distribution activities, in the context of international integration and Industry 4.0 and briefly describe the current situation of Vietnam's trade and distribution activities in fields, industries and businesses, under the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby forecasting market prospects and proposing policies and solutions, to restore and promote trade and distribution development for Vietnamese sectors, industries and businesses.
The conference received 167 articles, from domestic and foreign scientists, experts, and managers.
The articles focus on six main groups of topics, describing the overall picture of the status and prospects of trade and distribution activities, in some localities of Vietnam and international trade with many countries throughout the region and around the world, after the COVID-19 pandemic, following the explosion of many technological applications.
