The event was chaired by Politburo member, Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, who is also Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-corruption and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.

The conference agreed that following five years of implementation, the coordination programme between the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs and four press agencies, namely Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam News Agency, has gained many positive results.

Speaking at the event, Politburo member Phan Dinh Trac asked the commission and four press agencies to continue enhancing their coordination in boosting the propaganda on the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws on internal affairs and anti-corruption and judicial reform.

The communications by the press should focus on encouraging and mobilising the drastic participation of the whole political system as well as people’s strength in the fight against corruption and phenomena, he added.

In addition, it is crucial to further improve the efficiency in the agencies’ cooperation in detecting and dealing with corruption and negative cases, said the Politburo member.

He urged for the promotion of communications on the results of internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform as well as the active struggle against statements that distort and oppose the Party and State from hostile forces.

Politburo member Trac also stressed the strict handling of the reporting of false information, slander and fabrication that cause bad consequences.

At the conference, Trac presented medals for the cause of the Party's internal affairs to the leaders of the four press agencies.
