According to the official, the Ministry of Justice plans to submit a new document relating to judicial assessment costs to the Prime Minister in the time ahead.

The Supreme People's Court is working on an ordinance on litigation costs, which partly deals with judicial expertise, he said, asking the court to continue accelerating the process and submit it to the NA Standing Committee for consideration and approval.

For solutions to deal with the issuance of documents that include regulations running counter laws, Long said the Ministry of Justice will step up inspections and supervisions, and hold working sessions with agencies.

It is crucial to well implement the Politburo’s Regulation No. 178-QD/TW on controlling power and preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena in law-making, he stressed.

Responding to a query on pending documents that give details on the implementation of laws and resolutions, the official highlighted the Government’s efforts in speeding up the drafting and issuance, including adjustment to a number of articles of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents.

Long also pointed out the phenomena of group and local interests in the building of legal documents as reflected through economic corruption cases and conclusions by inspection agencies.

Controlling power in law building is the most difficult task, he stressed, adding the ministry has given advice to the Government in identifying signs of group interests in the work, and will include the issue in adjustment to the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents.
